In May 2008, Admec became the first sweeper company in the UK to be licensed by the Environment Agency to treat road sweepings in its own, in-house plant.

Designed and constructed by Admec, the plant separates the water and solid elements of sweepings, allowing the water to be immediately re-used in the sweepers and the solids to be re-used after further treatment. Admec is currently researching a range of potential applications for the solids

Where construction sites are not licensed to discharge sweeper waste on suitably prepared and approved locations on site, Admec can uniquely provide an environmentally sound, and extremely cost-effective in-house alternative to third party waste pre-treatment requirements and Landfill.
